Papop Solar announces strategic joint venture with CarbonBW

Papop Solar Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Papop, has entered into an exciting joint venture with CarbonBW, an international clean energy solutions provider in Thailand. The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of solar power in the region and contribute to a low-carbon future. 

The strategic partnership combines Papop expertise in solar business with CarbonBW’s extensive experience in project management as well as financial capabilities. The collaboration took place in April 2024. Papop Solar participated in Asean Sustainability Energy Week 2024 (ASEW2024) in Bangkok in July 2024. 

The partnership between Papop Solar and CarbonBW represents a significant milestone in Thailand’s solar energy landscape. By combining their expertise, the two companies aim to: 

1.  Expand Solar Capacity: The joint venture will facilitate the installation of solar power plants with a total capacity of 40 MW by 2027. 

2.  Maximize Cost Savings: Clients who opt for PPAs with Papop Solar and CarbonBW can benefit from up to a 40% discount on their electricity bills. This innovative business model allows organizations to access clean energy without upfront investment. 

3.  Promote Sustainability: Both companies share a vision of creating a cleaner, more sustainable energy ecosystem in ASEAN. Their collaboration will contribute to reducing carbon emissions and mitigating climate change.
